The news this morning just reported that the release date of the iPhone 5 is early October.
The news anchor was excited and is now counting the days. But, why???
Sure, I got excited and was counting the days until I could purchase my new Android phone. So, you might be asking, “What’s the difference?”
The difference is I had seen reviews of it from CES. I had a good understanding of technical specifications and the features. All that is out there for the iPhone 5 is fake reviews by unknowns, from in their own home showing off the new features.
I have seen to date:
- A clear phone, whose buttons become opaque on demand
- A mid air projection *
- A laser keyboard projected on the table to type *
- A wafer thin phone
* denotes things that are technically possible but highly impractical in this scenario.
Nothing from Apple yet. You think they would be yelling from the rooftops, praising the new features. They never do because they know they do not need to. They know that the iPhone/Pad/Pod userbase is predominately mindless “sheeple” that will buy it because it is the latest and greatest thing from the iCompany. Then there are those that get the latest and greatest as a status icon. Overcompensating? Lastly there are the followers, the ones that cannot think for themselves if their life depended on it.
